Description of the problem | Crack developed at edge of windshield at deicer strip. No apparrent cause such as rock damage. Gmc will not cover this repair under warranty. My wife's 2015 subaru outback received a warranty extension notice for this very defect stating that "during the mfg process certain compounds used to adhere the deicer to the windshield created a condition where the glass became more susceptible to cracking following a minor wound." i'm quite certain this defect is the problem with my yukon. Is it possible that subaru and gmc windshields are provided by the same sub-contractor? |
