Description of the problem | The transmission on my 2002 envoy xlt went out this morning on my way to work. I barely missed having an accident while passing a semi and injuring myself and others. The envoy has 69,000 miles on it and the transmission should have lasted much longer. After exploring some web sites (http://townhall-talk. Edmunds. Com/direct/view/. Ef15323) i found that other owners of envoys and trailblazers also experienced transmission failure. An immediate recall should be issued. Cost for replacing the transmission is $1,500. We were so thrilled with the envoy and brag about it all the time. We were considering buying a new one next year but we won't if we do not get reimbursed for this transmission repair.
