Description of the problem | The fuel tank was replaced after we complained a second time about the inability to fill the tank to capacity without smelling fumes in the garage (oversized 2 car garage with 12 foot ceilings). After the fuel tank was replaced, we experienced no further fumes, but we would like to keep this car for the use of a new driver and are uncertain whether (1) the repair has been made well; (2) there are other jimmy suvs with a similar problem. Our belief is that a repaired car is often safer than one that has not been repaired.*ak |
