Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 1999 gmc sierra 1500. The contact received a recall notice for the service brakes, hydraulic:antilock:wheel speed sensor. Although there were no failures at the time, the contact had the recall repair performed. A few thousand miles after the repair, the brakes began to fail. When approaching a stop sign, traffic light, and/or during acceleration the brakes grab. This causes the vehicle to lung, lurch, and/or jerk. The failure occurs intermittently and without warning. The dealer stated that since the recall repair was previously performed, the contact was responsible for any additional repairs. The recall number was unknown. The failure mileage was 55,000 and current mileage was 67,730. |
