Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 gmc sierra 2500 hd. The contact was driving approximately 50 mph and smelled burning coolant and the temperature gauge began to rapidly increase. The contact inspected under the hood and noticed the engine overheating with complete loss of coolant. Immediately, water was dispensed into the radiator reservoir. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer two different times for the same failure. The water pump was replaced twice. The manufacturer was notified and a complaint was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000. |
