Description of the problem | 2001 yukon xl suv with 81182 miles on it. Transmission made a popping sound (no forward gears, but reverse gears). Suv has upgraded transmission that had a supposedly better model "front planet" part per gmc transmission specialist. That supposedly superior "front planet" split into (2) parts inside the transmission although it is one molded piece. Resulting explosion of metal caused a $2703. 52 transmission rebuild. I have the digital photos and the actual failed parts!*jb |
