Description of the problem | I would like to report the catastrophic failure of the brake lines on my suv. While driving home from work, the brake light on the dash illuminated, the breaks felt a little soft upon braking. Took it in to the shop for evaluation and was told that the brake lines from the abs to the rear breaks had ruptured. This occurred at 54,444 miles on aug 16, 2007. Approximately 8 months later, the same situation happened, brake warning light came on and brakes felt spongy. Took it into the shop and was told that the brake lines from the abs to the front brakes had ruptured this time. This happened on 3/28/08 and 58,921 miles. All lines were fabricated and replaced. I have had no additional problems since the repair. |
