Description of the problem | While applying the brakes to stop at an intersection, the brake pedal went to the floor on my 2001 yukon. A severely corroded brake line leading to passenger side front brake failed. Point of failure was at the center of the vehicle under the radiator. During removal of the failed line from it's mounting clip on the vehicle frame the brake line leading to the driver's side front brake was bumped causing it to break as well. On closer inspection it was determined that all brake lines were severely corroded to the point they were ready to fail and all lines required replacement. |
