Description of the problemCar consumes oil between oil changes. It will take 2-3 quarts of motor oil between servicing. Found no oil leak. Oil levels can drop really low and oil light indicator does not turn on. Vehicle has a grinding noise for a few seconds on a cold start. Vehicle computer was updated/programmed previously by honda to eliminate excess oil consumption. Vehicle still has excessive oil consumption issue, as well as the low oil indicator failing to illuminate. Oil light indicator can cause excessive damage to the engine if the oil level is low, because it fails to warn the driver when the oil level is low, especially since this vehicle has an excessive oil consumption issue. There have been numerous complaints about this issue and honda has failed to recall vehicles for this issue.
