Description of the problem | The engine developed a loud knock during use. The knock was very loud when the car was idling. It is a v6 and had 104k miles. Honda diagnosed the problem as the front camshaft lobe for cylinder 6 had significant wear and the camshaft had to be replaced. They would not accept responsibility by admitting the part was defective. The only way 1 lobe could deteriorate that much was if it had not been heat treated in the manufacturing process |
