Description of the problem | During a cold start, and car is stationarythe engine rattles for about 2 seconds. I have found out per the dealer, that this problem is caused by the vtc actuator. Apparently this particular make and model has this problem. Honda has always been aware of this problem and claims that the only remedy is to replace the actuator at a cost of around 900. 00 dollars. However they claim that this may not even correct the problem. Honda was aware of this defect announced a so called recall knowing that this recall would not correct the problem. It was strictly to cover their liability. I feel that honda should correct this problem for my 2010 honda accord at no cost to consumers. Honda corporation was always aware of this defect and still continued to sell this particular model to consumers. |
