Description of the problem | 2013 accord fails to start when using either push button start or dealer installed remote start. Engine does not turn over, only a grinding sound is produced. It can take as many as 5 or 6 attempts to start before the starter will actually engage and start the engine. Starter replaced in accordance with honda tsb 16-002, but the issue continues. Issue first occurred when the vehicle had just over 40k miles and has been happening for last 18 -24 months and is getting worse. This occurs in both warm and cold weather, and with either a hot or cold engine. Car now only has 64k miles. |
