Description of the problem | Power steering failed while at a red light on 5/21/2017. It fixed itself after 3 car restarts (over the course of ~5 hours). The car was taken to the dealer on 5/22/2017 for software update to the electronic power steering control unit. The car drove fine until 5/27/2017 when it again lost power steering, this time while navigating a turn at 50mph on the freeway. Luckily, i was able to regain control of the car without hitting any other cars. Clearly, there is a problem with the electronic power steering and their software update does not solve the problem. |
