Description of the problemI was getting off the highway and was driving home along the service road when i noticed the steering wheel automatically turned on its own, causing me to almost crash into parked cars. No lights appeared on my dash and it was out of the ordinary. Luckily i was off the highway driving at low speeds, otherwise i would have injured multiple people. The steering wheel became so hard to control requiring you to grip the steering wheel to turn it. Once you let go of the steering wheel, it would turn really fast on its own to the right. I tried turning on and off the car, unplugging the battery, but the issue was still there. I took it to the honda dealer and also contacted corporate in which i was told that the rack and pinion is bad, and if the car doesn't show a code, they won't cover it. My car only has 46k miles, and a big safety issue like this should have been covered or partially covered. Instead, i was told it was going to be over $3k for install and parts, which is ridiculous.
