Description of the problem | I have not owned the car in question since may 2016 after this car was totaled in an accident and i keep getting calls from honda of pasadena (pasadena, ca). The process on the nhtsa website says that the manufacturer contacts car owners to notify them of safety recalls correct? Are dealers allowed to use my personal phone number/data to solicit me for these repairs multiple times like this? I mean, the notification from the manufacturer appears to be enough; this will allow the customer to choose the dealership on their own. The practice of the dealership reaching out to me is more like an unethical practice to bait customers into getting repair money from the manufacturer. This is in fact baiting. Please help and respond as soon as possible. |
