Description of the problemOften takes multiple times to start the car. Sometimes it starts right up, other times it takes 2,3,4,5... 10 times to start, and sometimes it can take up to 20 minutes to get it started. Once it's started, the car runs very well. The problem is becoming more frequent. When you press the ignition button, sometimes it makes a clicking sound, sometimes it makes no sound. All the auxiliary power comes on but the engine doesn't turn over. We have found many many complaints online detailing the same problem with the 2014 accord. Mine has just over 67,000 miles on it - way too early for a starter to be failing. This problem has been happening for about 6 months -- but when it started, it would only take 2 or 3 tries to start the car. We replaced the battery and it seemed to fix it for about a month, but then it came back. After much research, we believe it is a defective starter. The honda dealership wants $590 to replace the starter. This is clearly a flaw in manufacturing. Honda needs to issue a recall.
