Description of the problem | A few weeks ago, our 2014 honda accord lx, would not consistently start. I took it to two different auto-shops, including the dealership. The first auto shop could not figure out what was wrong. They said they started the car ~100 times and the car started every time. I then took the car to a dealership. The dealership said it was the starter. I replaced the starter and the car started up fine. A couple of days after fixing the car, the car did not start. The battery was tested and is okay. Our car was towed to a trusted mechanic. The mechanic said that the starter was fine and that he suspects the original did not need replacement. He said there's some sort of electrical issue, but could not figure out exactly where the issue is. He said it must be somewhere between the ignition and starter. Our leaving the car with him so that he can have other technicians inspect it. |
