Description of the problem | Vehicle would not start. Only a clicking sound would be heard under the hood. All ignition lights would light properly and headlights stayed on and were bright. This indicated battery was good. Also battery was just replaced. But the car engine would not turn over. It would take 2 to 3 tries to get car to start. It got progressively worse as time went on. It turns out i had to replace the starter. It went bad after only 42,500 miles. I seen other complaints about starter issue. It appears honda may have defect in starter. The warranty expired about 8 months ago, and the dealer wanted to charge me $650 to replace starter. I bought a starter and installed myself saving money. |
