Model Year | 2014 |
File date | 09/04/18 |
Component | SERVICE BRAKES |
Product type code | VEHICLE |
Description of the problem | The vehicle does not always start when you pressed the start button and only clicks. This can be dangerous if the car stalls in a busy intersection or rail road crossing and the vehicle cannot be started. To start the vehicle (keyless w/fob), you have to press the brake and press the start button. It appears that the brake pedal pressure and the starting of the car may be part of the issue as we have noticed that the car will more likely start when the brake pedal is soft vs. Hard. Not sure if the issue is isolated to the start button, brake master cylinder, both or the electronics that interacts when these two. Any assistance that you may provide with this issue is appreciated. Thank you |
