Description of the problem | I'm reaching out to you concerning my 2014 honda accord sport vin #: [xxx]. I recently had a minor accident and the rear bumper was scratched. I took the vehicle to the shop to have the rear bumper painted. The repair shop called me and they told me that the vehicle was missing the absorber on the rear bumper, that is the foam part that fits between the outside bumper and the metal plate. The paint shop told me that sometimes new vehicles arrive at the dealer with bumpers & side mirrors detach and they get assemble at the dealer or its possible that a batch of vehicle were shipped missing the absorber in the bumper area. If you touch and press your finger in the rear bumper you feel an air space gap and the bumper does not feel hard. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6). |
