Description of the problem | Engine will not start. 2015 honda accord has about 84k miles. I have been stranded twice now because my car won't start and often requires between 2-4 attempts to start the engine. The cluster lights turn on and everything powered by the battery is working, without the engine starting. I have replaced the battery 3 times (march 2018, january 2020, march 2021). Previous battery was tested and had plenty of voltage left and was charging well, so the alternator is working well. Key fob battery replaced 2 times, most recently december 2020 and is working fine. I believe the starter is defective and i have read countless reports online stating the same issue, and this needs to be investigated and addressed, especially because the part itself is between $150-180 online and the dealership cost to replace this is $1k and above... |
