Description of the problem | When starting the vehicle, the digital (lcd screen) half of the gauge cluster may blank. As the tachometer in this vehicle is digital, the driver is unable to determine the rpm of the engine when stationary or in motion. When this problem surfaces, not even restarting the vehicle fixes the digital display. I have had 3 dealer appointments to fix this issue now. They have swapped out the gauge cluster and the problem persists. Additionally, i have identified other users via internet forums who have exchanged photos and videos with me of their vehicles exhibiting the same symptoms. Because the problem was not fixed with new hardware, and many other users experience it, i suspect it may be a software issue. |
