Description of the problem	I leased my honda civic from herb chambers honda of boston in nov. 2016. In march 2017 my check engine light came on. When i took my car to the dealership for servicing, they told me that rodents had chewed on the wires under my vehicle. After i did some research on my own, i found out that many other people were having this same issue and my car received damage to the wiring (under my car) due to the soybean coating that honda is using on the wire covers. I was told that this is not covered by the dealership or warranty. Remind you "this is a lease." my brand- new leased car was completed dead and wouldn't even turn on. I am lucky it didn't die on me while i was driving it. I have read online complaints that this has had to other people with this damage to their vehicles. I was quoted $2,600 in repairs. I ended up paying a $500 deductible to my insurance company. There are class action law suits in place in ca and other states regarding the "soy-based wire covering." this is a serious safety issue and a recall needs to be made by honda.
