Description of the problem | I received a letter from honda, stating that the a/c condenser on my 2017 civic was not manufactured to specification, which may allow refrigerant to leak out. The letter then states if the a/c does not blow cold air, to take the car to the dealer for a repair at no charge. However, when i took the car to the dealer, they would not look at the car unless i agreed to pay $330 for the inspection, in case the inspection shows the condenser is not leaking. I feel that if honda has a known issue with the condenser and if there is any indication of a possible failure (such as the a/c not blowing cold air), honda should pay to have it inspected to determine if the faulty condenser is the cause of the failure. But honda refuses to cover the inspection. Can you please help? Thank you. |
