Description of the problemThe vehicle filed virginia safety inspection because the driver's seat belt was severely frayed. The vehicle has only 23,008 miles on it. The repair shop installed a new seatbelt (genuine honda part) and advised me to contact honda. The repair shop returned the defective seat belt to me to aid in my claim. I contacted honda of north america and was advised to see my local dealership (hall honda). At the honda dealership i was told they would not "touch" something that had already been replaced. I then called honda north america back and informed them of hall's verdict. The situation has not been resolved at this point, but i wanted to report this in case there may be other owners with the same issue, their safety may be jeopardized as well.
