Description of the problem | Passenger side airbag indicator does not turn off, therefore the airbag does not activate, when a person weighing significantly more (100lbs) than the stated threshold of 65lbs as described in the owner's manual. This is a significant safety concern since the passenger is not protected by the airbag. Honda dealer claims the weight sensor is correctly calibrated and working properly according to honda. The concern is that this tolerance of more than 35lbs is way too high and the airbag needs to activate much closer to the stated threshold of 65lbs. |
