Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 honda cr-v. While driving approximately 25 mph, the display screen message appeared indicating a security system failure and that the tailgate door was open. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the tailgate door was secured. Next, the sensor erroneously indicated that the front driver side door was ajar. Moments later, while driving, the collision avoidance system erroneously activated and the vehicle abruptly came to a complete stop although no other vehicles were in the vicinity. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer (dnc honda, 28 county rd, tenafly, nj 07670), but the failures could not be duplicated. According to the dealer, the manufacturer indicated that the failures were due to the cell phone being used inside the vehicle. As a result, the bluetooth was deactivated. The failure mileage was 2,600. |
