Description of the problem | Display console becomes erratic showing different screens, usually starting first with brightness level indicator, and then moving into different screens. The rate the screen changes increases with time. Dealer stated previously that honda is aware of issue and that it needed a software update which was in beta testing. The incident rate for this to happen is increasing. My second trip to the dealership today (i think a year later) and they still do not have a fix. To stop the cascade, you have to stop the car and turn it off. It is a significant distraction when driving and is unpredictable. Have also noted lane departure system will engage at odd times (no actual lane departure or identifiable road issues). The main dash display failed to boot on start up recently. The gear knob has had to be replaced within the first year. |
