Description of the problem | Honda's 1. 5l turbo engine oil level increases in the engine oil over time as unburnt excess fuel collects on the engine cylinder walls. The engine oil level grows quicker depending on driving conditions - sometimes colder weather, sometimes freeway speeds, there seems to be many variables. To combat the issue i am forced to change the engine oil more often for fear of engine misfires, engine damage, and premature engine wear. When i change the oil, i fill the oil to the mid engine oil dipstick mark but within 1500 miles or so the oil is at max dipstick level again with strong fuel smells. To date honda usa has no plan for correction let alone even acknowledging the issue. |
