Description of the problem | Crankcase is filling with gasoline from the cylinders causing a high level on the oil dipstick (approx. 1/2 inch above the high mark) also known as oil dilution. Oil had no viscosity when i changed it and it reaked of gasoline. Two different honda dealers and american honda customer service all acknowledged that there aware of the issue but they haven't come up with a remedy yet. Meanwhile my vehicles engine and i am sure thousands more are being prematurely abused and worn because of gasoline (solvent) in the oil. Honda needs to make this right and soon! |
