Description of the problem | **'17 honda cr-v shift lever button (silver) broke off during drive!!** cr-v w/ around 26k miles had the silver button fall out while in motion on a city street on 7/13/2019. I wasn't accelerating or decelerating at the time, it just popped out. I was able to safely pull over and stop, but had a lot of trouble getting it shifted from drive to park. I had to push the loose spring and plastic button back into the shift lever and after 6 tries, was able to put it into park. Also, the car won't turn off and won't lock because the computer doesn't recognise that it is parked. The engine start/stop button keeps flashing red. |
