Description of the problem | 2017 honda cr-v ex. The shift knob button (which shifts the car out of park and into drive) broke off from its spring and it would not register the car being in park to shut off the electronics in the vehicle. I was forced to disconnect the negative from battery when the car is in park and reconnect when the it was time to drive somewhere. When i contacted my honda dealer, they informed me of a recall for this issue. On a side not, my wife also has the same year, make and model which had a recall for the same issue. |
