Description of the problem | Honda cr-v button used to engage the gear shifter crumbled apart when trying to shift the car into park out of drive position. The car was stuck in the drive position until brought into the honda dealership to have the shifter button replaced, creating a potential safety issue where the car is stuck in a specific gear position. The button break was not caused by any known direct mechanical shock and may have been due to thermal shock or temperature/humidity cycling. |
