Description of the problem | Sunroof explosion: new honda cr-v with only 4,420 miles. The sunroof exploded while driving down a state highway at 70mph. No cars or trucks were directly in front of me and no rocks or debris were found by the service repair in remaining shattered glass. Luckily i did not have the sunroof open so the glass particles did not fly into the passenger area, but cars behind me slowed as some glass particles flew from the roof. Honda replaced the sunroof under warrantee but exploding sunroofs are disorienting to the driver and not safe to passengers or other car drivers who catch the flying glass particles. |
