Description of the problem | Ignition switch burnt up while traveling with family causing the motor to shut down including all power (brakes, steering, dash indicators). Seems to be the same problem that honda recalled on 1997-2000 vehicles. The vehicle is a 1995 honda odyssey with 128000 miles. The switch failed several times on a 4 hour drive home before finally failing completely the following day. Honda chooses not to cover this defective part, since the vin doesn't match their database search with the 1997-2000 recall.*ak |
