Component | CHILD SEAT |
Product type code | VEHICLE |
Description of the problem | Seat installed rearfacing with super latch loosened excessively and dramatically when pushed/pulled. Initially there was no slack over very little slack, and it became inches of slack as the entire seat rocked back and forth. Had the child in the seat not been belted in, he could have easily fallen out of the car. The seat was retightened and the same process was easily repeated. The seat was reinstalled forward-facing, diminishing the protection offered to the child (rearfacing is 5x safer), so that the child could be safely transported home. (related vehicle information: model year=2007, make=honda, model=odyssey). |
