Description of the problem | 2007 honda odyssey ex ac compressor had to be replaced after road debris (a small rock) punctured it. The car has less than 40,000 miles and is only driven on main city roads. The total cost of this repair, which was not covered under the warranty was over $800 including towing. I have looked on the internet and it seems that many people have had this problem which is never covered by the warranty - even though there seems to be a flaw in the design. The claims are that the ac compressor is not properly protected and is in the front of the vehicle engine where it is more likely to be exposed to normal road debris. |
