Description of the problem | Honda odyssey 2007 model - a/c compressor broken because of a hole made by a rock (as stated by honda dealer in diagnosis). This has been the most common cause of a/cs failing in honda odyssey models of year 2007 and prior. This is a design flaw as the compressor is not sufficiently protected from outside debris hitting it. To emphasize that this indeed is a design flaw, the 2008 odyssey and later model now come with a protective mesh covering the condenser, to avoid this problem. But no recall has been issued so far for this defect. I request you to investigate this issue and if found true, honda should fix this defect free of charge for all 2007 odysseys and prior models with this flaw. |
