Description of the problem | I am a mechanic at a school district and we have purchased 3 2007 odyssey vans. We are experiencing soft brakes on all three vans. One of the vans had a complaint of hard stopping i. E. Too long of distance. Upon test driving the van i did notice that the brakes were very mushy. I drove one of the other new vans and pretty much the same thing, mushy brakes. I took van to the dealer and they tried to reproduce problem which they must of because they had for 3 days and were trying to figure out how to fix the problem. They tried bleeding the brakes etc. They ended up replacing the master cylinder. Upon the return of the van i noticed an improvement in pedal feel but the brakes still feel too mushy. You aren't sure where the stopping point or i should say the application point comes into play. |
