The failure recurred several times after the initial failure. The manufacturer was contacted about the problem. The failure mileage was 15,769 and the current mileage was 29,000. The consumer stated the brakes would self-activate randomly and without warning. When he attempted to accelerate the vehicle would come to a stop or near stop; only then would the brakes release.
