Description of the problem | The lift gate strut on our 2007 honda odyssey ex-l suddenly failed and the gate fell by itself. It almost injured me while loading shopping bags into the trunk area. The rear gate is very heavy that it could actually result in a severe injury or fatality, when it suddenly fell on one's head. After some research online, i found that the same issue occurs to other honda odyssey owners. Cite: http://www. Odyclub. Com/forums/52-2005-2010-odyssey/40133-tailgate-gas-strut-problems-9. Html there's also a similar recall for 2008 and 2009 honda odyssey model regarding the lift gate strut. *js |
