Description of the problem | Brakes vibrate excessively when applied and when at legal speeds of 60 or 70 vehicle is sometimes hard to control. I asked the dealer to fix the problem and he said honda would not replace the discs and he could only turn them the stop the vibration. This was done at around 16,000 miles, but within a few months and a few thousand miles the vibration began to reappear and has continually gotten worse. From talking to mechanics that work on these vehicles and searching the web it is my understanding that the disc design does not allow for the heat from braking to dissipate thus warping the disc. I feel honda should replace the discs with newly designed ones to alleviate this problem. If myself or my wife had to apply the brakes in an emergency it is possible that the vehicle could be uncontrollable and could cause a severe accident. |
