Description of the problemDriving down the highway at 55 mph when the accelerator stopped working and vehicle came to a complete stop without braking. Engine was still running but there was no acceleration possible. Shut engine off and restarted. Held accelerator pedal all the way to the floor with no acceleration for 10-15 seconds. Then, all of a sudden, the van lunged forward. Had van towed to dealership and the mechanic tried to drive into garage to check with computer. He pressed the accelerator to the floor and no response until, again, it lunged forward. Dealership has had the van for almost 3 weeks and can not replicate the problem while hooked up to the computer.
