Description of the problem | Rear window exploded when drivers door shut with no unusual force -- just shutting the door as normal. The this happened at about 8am. The car was parked/stationary. The shattering left a hole about the size of a bowling ball behind the driver's side. Glass flew everywhere; luckily my children were not in the back seat at the time. Interior and exterior air temps were not extreme. There was no evidence of anything that hit the window. Several people were around at the time and nobody saw anything unusual. |
