Description of the problem | Small rock chip turned into over a foot long crack over night. The chip must of occurred on a small 50 mile road trip and the next morning when the sun come up the heat expanded the chip to over a foot long. Chip occurred at the very top of the windshield in the black area, crack formed going downward in a j motion towards the driver's side. Contacted the dealership to have it quoted and looked at. I was given a quote of $2,108 to replace!! This car is brand new, 1,600 miles and have owned less than 2 months. I have read others concerns online and this is way too common and hyundai needs to recall the window shield and replace. |
