Description of the problem | Completed the 953 campaign recall to upgrade software to monitor for excessive bearing wear. As described in the campaign letter, a warning indicator indicating a problem cam e on while driving (on a highway). Again, as indicated in the recall campaign letter, the vehicle operated at no more than 60 mph and with reduced rpm. Took the vehicle immediately to the nearest dealer for evaluation/repair as instructed in the recall letter. Left the car with the dealer in nc, waited several days to hear from the dealer and after getting no information from the dealer, rented a car and returned home (va). The vehicle was dropped off at the dealer on april 26. As of today (may 8) we still have not received a diagnosis pf the problem from hyundai. The dealer refused to offer a loaner car while waiting in nc. |
