Description of the problem | We bought the car brand new from the showroom floor with 0 miles on the speedometer. When we back out from the dealer parking lot and put the car in drive, it would not move forward at all. The salesman ended up backing the car to the service dept where they reprogrammed the transmission. It ran fine for a month or two then started stalling again. The dealer reprogrammed the transmission and once again it ran fine for a short period until resuming the stalling effect again. Now, the transmission stalls and/or shutters constantly when taking off, causing us to almost be hit by oncoming cars. The mileage is only 11,000 and the powertrain has a 10yr/100,000 mile unlimited warranty, but hyundai says the transmission is acting exactly the way it is supposed to and will not do anything about it. |
