Description of the problem | Driver door suddenly stopped opening. There is no way to enter the vehicle using the driver door. The car was unlocked using the key fob and locks were not a factor. 2 days later the rear passenger door suddenly will not open from the inside or the outside. Child safety lock was not in use and the car was unlocked using the key fob. There is no way for a person to enter or exit the vehicle through that door. Vehicle was parked. This is clearly a safety issue because in an emergency riders would be unable to exit the vehicle and could become trapped inside. The driver also needs to be able to quickly enter the vehicle. Hyundai dealer identified failed latch assembly as the problem. |
