Description of the problem | The driver side rear door will not open at all, from the inside or outside. This happened outside of the 60,000 mile warranty period, so hyundai refused to voluntarily fix the issue. The latching mechanism should not be worn down so quickly, within 4 years of manufacture. This is a serious safety concern, as potentially all car doors could fail, leaving passengers stuck inside in the event of an emergency. I have emailed and called hyundai usa and notified them of the issue, but have yet to receive a reply. |
