Description of the problem | On several occasions the dual clutch system has failed to engage. It occurs when i am stopped and press the pedal to accelerate the car. The car feels as though it is going to stall and does not move forward. This has put me in dangerous situations when i believe i have enough time to turn, but when the car does not respond, my time available to turn is reduced. I reported this to the dealer and they indicated that many people have complained about this behavior and it is the nature of a dual clutch transmission. The service man said that it takes time for the computer to determine what it is going to do next and i need to give it that time. |
